Health and Safety
Ozone is a powerful oxidising agent which makes it an excellent disinfectant and deodoriser.
This oxidising ability can mean that, above the Workplace Exposure Level (WEL), Ozone Gas can cause irritation to the nose, eyes, and lungs. It is therefore important that reference is made to The Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
The WEL for Ozone varies in different countries, so please consult your local regulations and Safety Regulator.
In the UK, the WEL (Workplace Exposure Limits) for Ozone gas is 0.2ppm (15-minute time weighted average EH40 (2005) updated 2011).
